Auctions
The Society organises an auction sale for members in January/February and this is an excellent opportunity for members to buy or sell philatelic material. Each sale comprises 500 - 600 lots and the auction preview is held on the day of the sale. Members unable to attend the sale may submit postal bids.

The H. S. Hughes Charity Auction

Every year, in April, the Society holds the H S Hughes Charity Auction to sell material donated by members and friends in aid of the Selly Oak Acorn Hospice in Selly Oak.
H. S. "Stan" Hughes, a late Birmingham Society Member, was an active supporter of philately for children and he gave them great support by collecting and providing stamps and philatelic items.
