Auctions The Society organises an auction sale for members in January/February and this is an
excellent opportunity for members to buy or sell philatelic material. Each
sale comprises 500 - 600 lots and the auction preview is held on the day of
the sale. Members unable to attend the sale may submit postal bids. The
Stan Hughes Annual Charity Auction Every April the Society holds a Charity
Auction in aid of the Acorns Children’s Hospice, Selly Oak. This year we raised over £1,000. The Society would like to thank all who
donated material and those who gave most generously to this worthy cause. A fun evening was had by all with over 200
lots of mainly philatelic items sold. The highlight of the night was the sale
of freshly picked rhubarb, a well established tradition for this annual
event. |
