The Society Logo
The Birmingham "Chandelier" postmark used by the Society as its logo, was discovered by Sidney Raine, a late Birmingham Society member. He named it the "Chandelier" because its unique design reminded him of the chandelier-type gas lamps produced in abundance at the time of their known use in December 1772 and January 1773.
